In the second week of the Group A matches of the European Championship held in Germany, Scotland and Switzerland ended in a 1-1 draw.

Though the match started at a slower pace, Scotland took the lead in the 13th minute. During a Swiss corner kick, Andrew Robertson intercepted the ball, swiftly moved forward, and passed to John McGinn. McGinn, quickly advancing from midfield, entered the penalty area from the left wing and delivered the ball to Scott McTominay, waiting at the penalty spot. McTominay's powerful shot deflected off Fabian Schar and found the net.

From this point, Scotland controlled the game until Anthony Ralston made a defensive error. Xherdan Shaqiri intercepted the misplaced pass and struck a spectacular shot from outside the penalty area, leveling the score.

The first half ended with no further goals, and the teams went into the break at 1-1.

The second half started sluggishly. Although both teams had occasional effective attacks, neither could deliver a finishing touch.

In the 58th minute, Dan Ndoye, controlling a pass from Granit Xhaka behind the defense, couldn't beat Yann Sommer in a one-on-one situation.

Following this, Kierran Tierney was injured and could not continue the match.

In the 67th minute, Grant Hanley headed an Andrew Robertson free kick, but the ball hit the post and bounced back into play.

No more goals were scored, and the match ended in a 1-1 draw.
