The match, held at Geoffroy Guichard Stadium in Saint-Etienne, was disrupted while Morocco led 2-1. Argentina's Cristian Medina scored a dramatic equalizer in the 90+16th minute.
Match Abandoned
Following the goal, Moroccan fans invaded the pitch and launched fireworks near the Argentine bench. The referee directed the players to leave the field.
Match Resumes After 1.5 Hours
Approximately 1.5 hours later, the match resumed. The referees returned to the field and disallowed the goal for offside.
The game continued for an additional three minutes in an empty stadium and concluded with Morocco's 2-1 victory.
