Manchester United in talks with Galatasaray for French defender Sacha Boey
Manchester United has reportedly initiated contact with Galatasaray for French right-back Sacha Boey, according to Turkish sources.

Boey recently showcased his skills against Manchester United during a 3-3 draw in Istanbul.
The Turkish publication Fanatik reports that Manchester United and French club Marseille are both interested in Boey, potentially making a move this winter. Fotomaç, another Turkish sports site, claims that German media have reported Manchester United's offer of €25.5 million to Galatasaray for Boey.
Galatasaray might consider selling their prized defender if the offer sets a record fee.
This isn't the first time Manchester United has shown interest in Boey. The Peoples Person reported in October that Manchester United scouts had been monitoring the French player, who was a top target for the team. Furthermore, it was reported last month that Boey declined a new contract from Galatasaray, indicating his interest in joining the Premier League.
Boey has been instrumental in Galatasaray's success this season, contributing to the team's position as joint leaders of the Turkish Super Lig. They have won 13 of 15 games and have the division's strongest defense, conceding only nine goals.
Despite not advancing in the Champions League, Galatasaray secured a Europa League playoff spot against Sparta Prague, partly due to Boey's performance in 15 matches, scoring once and aiding in eight clean sheets. (Statistics courtesy of Sofascore)
Since Erik ten Hag's arrival at Manchester United, the club has been scouting right-backs, including Denzel Dumfries and Vanderson. Current right-backs Diogo Dalot and Aaron Wan-Bissaka have struggled to secure starting roles, despite Dalot's commendable performance against Liverpool, marred by a late-game dismissal for dissent.
However, Boey might have to wait until summer to join the Premier League, as Galatasaray's management and technical team have decided to sell only those players listed in January.
While it remains uncertain if Manchester United can afford a winter transfer, Turkish sources suggest that Boey's departure from Galatasaray may happen sooner than later.
