Manchester City triumphs over Manchester United 3-1
In a pivotal English Premier League derby, Manchester City emerged victorious against their crosstown rivals Manchester United with a 3-1 win in week 27's match on Sunday.
The intense battle at the Etihad Stadium saw United's English forward, Marcus Rashford, opening the scoring with an early goal in the eighth minute.
However, City's response came through winger Phil Foden, who delivered a stunning equalizer into the top left corner in the 56th minute, followed by a precise shot to the bottom corner, securing his second goal in the 80th minute. The victory was sealed by Norwegian sensation Erling Haaland's left-footed strike to the far corner in the 91st minute, pushing the Sky Blues to a 3-1 triumph.
This vital win places the reigning champions City at 62 points, just one point shy of Liverpool, setting the stage for a top-of-the-table clash next weekend. Meanwhile, United finds themselves in sixth place with 44 points.
