In the semifinal match held in Dortmund, England emerged victorious against the Netherlands with a score of 2-1.

The Netherlands took the lead in the 7th minute. Xavi Simons scored a stunning goal from outside the penalty area, finding the net with a powerful shot from the edge of the box. In the 17th minute, England was awarded a penalty after a VAR review. Harry Kane stepped up and equalized.

With this penalty goal, Kane tied with Alan Shearer as the joint top scorer for England in European Championship history, each with seven goals. England came close again in the 23rd minute, but Denzel Dumfries cleared Phil Foden's shot off the line.
