Anadolu Efes parts ways with Coach following EuroLeague defeat
Turkish basketball club Anadolu Efes made the decision to part ways with their head coach, Erdem Can, following a defeat in the EuroLeague against Zalgiris Kaunas on Wednesday.

"As Anadolu Efes Sports Club, we have decided to part ways with Mr. Erdem Can. We appreciate his contributions to our club and wish him success in his future endeavors," announced Anadolu Efes.
Can, aged 43, had spent a decade as an assistant coach at Turkey's Fenerbahce Beko and with the NBA's Utah Jazz before taking on the role of head coach at Turk Telekom last season.
While working alongside Serbian manager Zeljko Obradovic at Fenerbahce Beko, he clinched the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague title in 2017.
Afterward, the Turkish coach served as an assistant under Quin Snyder at the Utah Jazz during the 2021-2022 season.
Can's remarkable coaching abilities earned him the title of Coach of the Year for the 2022-23 season in the 7Days EuroCup during his tenure with Turk Telekom.
Anadolu Efes, with 15 losses in 24 rounds, suffered a defeat to Zalgiris Kaunas with a score of 96-70 at the Zalgirio Arena on Wednesday.
Erdem Can had taken over from Ergin Ataman, who parted ways with the club after a successful six-year tenure.
Under Ataman's guidance, Anadolu Efes secured consecutive EuroLeague titles in 2021 and 2022.
