Iran's Raisi postpones Turkey trip after Kerman attacks
President Ebrahim Raisi of Iran has called off his impending trip to Turkey in the wake of deadly attacks in Kerman, a city in southeastern Iran.

The assaults, which occurred on Wednesday, claimed over 100 lives and left numerous others injured.
This announcement, confirming the cancellation of Thursday's visit, emerged from both Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan's office and the Iranian state news agency, IRNA. The decision follows a previously postponed trip by President Raisi scheduled for December.
Mohammad Jamshidi, Raisi's political deputy, addressed the media: "In response to the terrorist attacks in Kerman that claimed many Iranian lives, the president has deferred his Turkey visit. A future date will be considered suitable for this trip."
Meanwhile, Turkey's communications directorate released a statement. It indicated that the decision to reschedule the visit followed a phone conversation between Raisi and Erdogan. In this call, Erdogan denounced the attacks, extended his condolences, and urged Iran to collaborate in combating terrorism.
