Breaking News: Turkey’s Main Opposition Party to Protest Media Regulator RTÜK at 8:30 PM
Turkey’s main opposition Republican People’s Party (CHP) will stage a protest in front of the Radio and Television Supreme Council (RTÜK) headquarters at 8:30 PM on Thursday, denouncing recent penalties imposed on several television channels.

RTÜK (Radyo ve Televizyon Üst Kurulu) issued a 10-day broadcasting suspension for Sözcü TV, accusing the channel of "inciting public hatred and hostility" through its live broadcasts from Istanbul, Ankara, and İzmir.
Tele 1, Halk TV, and Now TV also received administrative fines and temporary program suspension orders.
Additionally, RTÜK warned that the YouTube channels of prominent journalists Fatih Altaylı and İlker Canikligil could face access bans if they fail to obtain proper licenses within 72 hours.
