The world's 'sexiest' language revealed

In a 2017 survey conducted by a language learning platform with 15,000 participants, French was selected as the "sexiest" language.

The same platform updated its research, this time asking 6,000 people from the United Kingdom, France, Spain, Italy, Germany, and the USA about the sexiest, most romantic, and most polite languages.

The majority of respondents chose Italian as both the sexiest and most romantic language.

Noel Wolf, a teacher on the language platform, told Daily Mail, "Italian has certain characteristic features that contribute to its allure. The rises and falls experienced when speaking Italian create a musical quality, and some people find this attractive."

Participants selected British English as the "most polite" language, while German was identified as the "most direct" language.

The study also examined the approaches of couples with different native languages towards each other.

70% of the British participants stated that learning their partner's native language strengthened the emotional bond between them.

Patti Adank, a language expert from University College London, noted that people whose native language is English often fall for the melody of languages like French and Italian.
