King Charles' hair and barber's scissors offered for £10,000
A unique collection, including a lock of King Charles' hair and his childhood barber's scissors, is on sale for £10,000.

Royal hairdresser George Crisp, who worked for the Windsors during Charles' school years in the 1960s, cut the hair. Crisp, who had first trimmed George VI's beard, continued serving the royal family after Queen Elizabeth ascended the throne in 1952. He kept the hair as a keepsake from his time with the young prince.
The collection, named "King Charles III Collection" and available through an online auction, also features a Christmas card the prince sent to his barber. Alongside these items are silver scissors, a plastic brown comb, and a 1971 invitation from the Queen, thanking Mr. Crisp for 42 years of royal service upon his retirement.
Paul Fraser of Paul Fraser Collectibles, which is handling the sale, notes the collection's intimate connection to Charles: "This memorabilia offers a closeness to the King that goes beyond a simple signature or a coronation tea towel. When this lock of hair was cut in the 1960s, Charles was just a schoolboy at Gordonstoun, with significant events like his marriages and coronation yet to come. The collection's exceptional provenance, originating from the royal family's personal hairdresser, adds to its value and authenticity."
