The BBC has aired a lost radio program revealing the real name of the renowned graffiti artist Banksy. In this broadcast, the enigmatic artist, whose first name was disclosed by the British public broadcaster, participated in an interview.
In the 2003 recording, BBC reporter Nigel Wrench referred to Banksy as "Robbie," following a mention of this name previously used by The Independent. When asked by Wrench if he was happy with the use of his name, Banksy simply responded with "Robbie."
During the interview, Wrench inquired, "Robbie, why won't you be at the opening of your own show tonight?" Banksy, responding as "Robbie," said, "I have better things to do. I think there's a TV show, 'Kara Kuvvetleri,' on tonight. When you work in graffiti, you're not in a position to stand next to your work, smiling and shaking hands with people. It's more interesting to let others try that... If you never show up and no one knows who you are, then you become a character, not yourself. And you can mean different things to different people. Unfortunately, tonight, wherever I go, I'll have to pay for my own beer."
