A giant statue of Shakira erected

The world-famous singer Shakira has had a giant statue erected in her homeland, Colombia. In Shakira's hometown of Barranquilla, a statue measuring 6.5 meters in height has been installed.

The Grammy-awarded singer shared moments on social media of her family visiting the Shakira statue.

Shakira expressed her joy, saying, "Sharing this with my family, especially with my mother on her birthday, makes me happy."

The statue, crafted by artist Yino Marques, depicts the singer's famous dance from her music video "Hips Don't Lie."
