Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened Tuesday at 7,601.37 points, up by 0.44% or 33.07 points, from the previous close.
On Monday, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index closed at 7,785.62 points, tumbling by 2.61%, with a daily trading volume of 81 billion Turkish liras ($2.82 billion).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 28.6176 as of 9.55 a.m. local time (0655GMT), the euro/lira rate stood at 30.6184, and a British pound traded for 35.1348 Turkish liras.
Brent crude oil was selling for around $82.81 per barrel, while the price of an ounce of gold was $1,948.65.
