Turkey's benchmark stock index, BIST 100, opened Tuesday at 7,303.30 points, an increase of 0.53% or 38.43 points from its previous close. On Monday, the index closed at 7,264.87 points, a 3.87% decline, with a trading volume of 43 billion Turkish liras (approximately $1.46 billion).
The exchange rates saw the US dollar trading at 29.3135 against the Turkish lira as of 10.14 a.m. local time (0714 GMT). The euro was at 32.3345 liras, while the British pound traded at 37.2245 Turkish liras.
In commodities, Brent crude oil was priced around $78.95 per barrel, and gold was trading at $2,074.25 per ounce.
