Turkish stock market rises at midweek opening
The Turkish stock market saw a rise at the start of midweek trading, with the benchmark BIST 100 index opening at 9,393.46 points on Wednesday, marking a 0.52% increase or a gain of 48.48 points from its previous close.
On Tuesday, the BIST 100 index experienced a 1.62% rise, closing at 9,344.97 points, on a trading volume of 132 billion Turkish liras ($4.29 billion).
The exchange rate for the US dollar to Turkish lira (USD/TRY) was recorded at 30.9595 by 10:25 GMT (0725 GMT), with the euro to Turkish lira (EUR/TRY) exchange rate at 33.5050, and the British pound to Turkish lira (GBP/TRY) exchange rate at 39.1020.
Gold was priced at $2,041.05 per ounce, and Brent crude oil was trading at approximately $82.60 per barrel.
