Turkish stock exchange up at weekly open
Benchmark index gains 20.29 points from previous close
Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened Monday at 10,791.65 points, gaining 0.19%, or 20.29 points, from the previous close.
Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index on Friday rose 0.29% to close at 10,771.36 points, with a daily trading volume of 96 billion liras ($2.92 billion).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 32.8125 as of 09.50 a.m. local time (0650GMT), the euro/lira exchange rate stood at 35.1586, while a British pound traded for 41.5055 liras.
Brent crude oil was selling for around $84.28 per barrel, while the price of an ounce of gold was $2,334.35.
