Turkish stock exchange starts Friday on the rise
The Turkish benchmark stock index, the BIST 100, opened the trading day on Friday with a gain, starting at 9,218.30 points, up by 0.27% or 24.61 points from its previous closing figure.

At the end of the last trading session, the BIST 100 had risen by 1.45%, closing at 9,193.69 points, with a total trading volume of 130 billion Turkish liras ($4.15 billion).
Exchange rates in the morning saw the US dollar to Turkish lira (USD/TRY) at 31.3205, the euro to Turkish lira (EUR/TRY) at 33.9110, and the British pound to Turkish lira (GBP/TRY) at 39.5610.
The price for an ounce of gold stood at $2,055.65, while Brent oil was trading at around $82.20 per barrel.
