Turkish stock exchange rises at Tuesday's opening
The Turkish benchmark stock index began Tuesday with a rise, opening at 9,238.59 points—a 0.46% or 42.18-point increase from the previous close.
At the end of Monday's session, the BIST 100 index had fallen by 0.71% to 9,184.66 points, amid a daily trading volume of 150 billion Turkish liras ($4.87 billion).
As of 10:15 a.m. local time (0715 GMT), the US dollar to Turkish lira (USD/TRY) exchange rate was 30.8900, the Euro to Turkish lira (EUR/TRY) rate was at 33.3090, and the British pound to Turkish lira (GBP/TRY) rate stood at 38.8920.
Gold was priced at $2,031.65 per ounce, while Brent oil hovered around $83.50 a barrel.
