Turkish stock exchange rises at opening
The Turkish benchmark stock index, BIST 100, opened at 8,063.12 points on Tuesday, marking a 0.24% increase, or a gain of 19.1 points, from its previous close.
On Monday, the BIST 100 index closed at 8,044.02 points, up 0.72% and reaching its highest level in a month. The day's trading volume totaled 93 billion liras (approximately $3.08 billion).
As of 18:25 GMT (15:25 local time), the USD/TRY exchange rate stood at 30.1025. Meanwhile, the EUR/TRY and GBP/TRY exchange rates were 32.8500 and 38.1280, respectively.
Gold prices were at $2,052.35 per ounce. Brent crude oil was trading around $78.15 per barrel.
