Turkish stock exchange opens midweek up
The Turkish stock exchange experienced a positive opening midweek.
The benchmark index rose 21.60 points in the opening session, starting Wednesday at 10,358.10 points, an increase of 0.21% from its previous close.
On Tuesday, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index climbed 0.68% to close at a new all-time high of 10,336.50 points.
As of 10:01 a.m. local time (0701 GMT), the US dollar to Turkish lira exchange rate stood at 32.2570, the euro to lira rate was at 34.6883, and the British pound was trading at 40.2769 liras.
In the commodities market, Brent crude oil was trading at approximately $82.37 per barrel. Meanwhile, the price for an ounce of gold was set at $2,322.40.
