Turkish stock exchange opens flat midweek
The Turkish benchmark stock index, BIST 100, started the midweek session at 9,184.63 points, marking a slight increase of 0.06% or 5.15 points from the previous close.
At the end of the previous session, the BIST 100 index had fallen by 1.66% to 9,179.48 points, with a transaction volume of 132 billion Turkish liras ($4.23 billion).
The exchange rate for the US dollar to Turkish lira (USD/TRY) stood at 31.1820 as of 10:45 a.m. (GMT 7:45), the EUR/TRY rate was at 33.7670, and the GBP/TRY rate reached 39.4305.
Gold was priced at $2,037.55 per ounce, while Brent oil was trading at around $82.30 a barrel.
