Turkish stock exchange flat at Friday's opening
Turkey's benchmark stock index opened flat on Friday at 10,276.76 points, registering a slight increase of 0.08%, or 8.18 points, from its previous close.
On Thursday, the Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index had risen by 0.20% to close at 10,268.58 points, with a daily trading volume reaching 95 billion liras ($2.95 billion).
At 9:57 a.m. local time (0657 GMT), the exchange rate for the US dollar to Turkish lira was 32.2696, the euro to lira rate stood at 34.8054, and a British pound was trading at 40.4603 liras.
In commodities, Brent crude oil was priced at around $84.51 per barrel, while gold was trading at $2,374.45 an ounce.
