Turkey's stock market opens midweek with gains
Turkey's benchmark stock index, the BIST 100, opened Wednesday up by 0.48%, gaining 42.97 points to start at 8,912.11.

This rise follows Tuesday's session where the index, buoyed for the 10th consecutive day, closed at an all-time high of 8,869.14 points, marking a 1.05% increase.
The exchange rate for the US dollar to the Turkish lira was 30.6981 at 9:54 a.m. local time (0654 GMT). Meanwhile, the euro traded at 32.9302 against the lira, and the British pound was worth 38.5652 liras.
In commodities, Brent crude oil was priced at approximately $78.69 per barrel early Wednesday, and gold was trading at $2,048.95 an ounce.
