New statement from BtcTurk after cyber attack released

Turkey's most popular cryptocurrency platform BtcTurk has been hacked.

The company announced that it detected a cyberattack on June 22, 2024 that caused out-of-control withdrawals.

Assets were stolen from the hot wallets of a large number of cryptocurrencies. BtcTurk halted cryptocurrency withdrawals and deposits after the cyberattack.

BtcTurk announced yesterday that only hot wallets were affected and cold wallets, where most of the funds are kept, are safe. It was also stated that user assets would not be affected by the attack.

A new statement came from the cryptocurrency exchange BtcTurk regarding the cyber attack.

In the third statement made by BtcTurk, "Deposits and withdrawals of all ERC20 cryptocurrencies from the ERC20 network have been opened. Cryptocurrency deposits and withdrawals that were subjected to cyber attack will be opened gradually after the detailed work of our cyber security teams is completed."
