BIST 100 takes a dip at midweek opening
The BIST 100 index at Borsa Istanbul opened Wednesday with a 0.84% decrease, falling to 8,964.97 points.
Turkey's benchmark stock index saw a 0.84% drop, shedding 75.9 points at Wednesday's start. This follows a 1.27% decrease to close at 9,040.87 points on Tuesday, with the daily trading volume reaching 104 billion Turkish liras ($3.24 billion).
The USD/TRY exchange rate stood at 32.0020 by 10:10 a.m. (0710GMT), while the EUR/TRY and GBP/TRY rates were at 34.5060 and 40.2410, respectively.
Gold was priced at $2,277.59 per ounce, and Brent crude oil hovered around $89.70 per barrel.
