BIST 100 sees uptick in Thursday's opening session
Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index witnessed a 0.61% increase at the opening of Thursday's trading session, marking an upswing of 52.95 points to reach 8,797.54.
Following a decline of 1.31% at Wednesday's close, which left the BIST 100 at 8,744.58 points, Thursday's trading began on a positive note. The transaction volume on Wednesday totaled 108 billion Turkish liras ($3.42 billion).
As of 10:10 a.m. local time (0710 GMT) on Thursday, the USD/TRY exchange rate stood at 31.8370, with the EUR/TRY and GBP/TRY rates at 34.8510 and 40.5660, respectively.
Gold's market value reached $2,162.85 per ounce, and Brent oil was priced at approximately $82.90 per barrel, indicating a stable market for commodities alongside the stock index's growth.
