BIST 100 rises in Friday’s opening session

Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index experienced a 0.5% increase at the opening on Friday. Turkey’s benchmark stock index climbed by 0.5% to 9,125.29 points in the opening session on Friday.

The index closed up 3.1% at 9,079.97 points on Thursday, with a daily transaction volume of 96 billion Turkish liras ($2.98 billion).

As of 10:10 am (0710GMT), the USD/TRY exchange rate stood at 32.3680, the EUR/TRY rate was 34.9570, and the GBP/TRY was trading at 40.9560.

Gold’s price per ounce reached $2,233.10, while Brent oil was priced at approximately $87.60 per barrel.
