Zelenskyy says Russia launched over 2,200 drones at Ukraine in a week

In a statement on Telegram, Zelenskyy also said that three people were killed in the Zaporizhzhia region and one man was killed in Kyiv after last night's drone strike.

“Unfortunately, there are deaths from Russian strikes tonight,” he said.

Zelenskyy said a data center in Kyiv was struck twice in the morning, with three people, including two children, injured in the first strike.

He also said Kyiv was continuing to work with European countries, the US, Canada, Japan, Australia and other partners to strengthen Ukraine’s defenses and pursue diplomatic efforts.

Meanwhile, Russia’s Defense Ministry said its forces had struck Ukrainian logistics, port and transport infrastructure, communications facilities and vessels used in the interests of the Ukrainian armed forces.

The ministry said a Vodafone data center in Kyiv, a logistics center in the Kyiv region, two drone warehouses in Mykolaiv, and a logistics center in the Odesa region were among the targets hit.

It also claimed strikes on a Ukrainian naval base headquarters, a border guard facility, military storage facilities and port infrastructure in the city of Kiliia in the Odesa region, as well as a dry cargo vessel carrying military and dual-use supplies to the port of Odesa.

Russia’s Defense Ministry separately said its Northern Group of Forces had taken control of the settlement of Khrypuny in Ukraine’s Kharkiv region.
