Kuwait says air defenses responding to drone threats
Kuwait’s General Staff of the Armed Forces said Monday that the country’s air defenses were responding to “hostile” drone threats.

In a statement, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said it targeted US military sites at Ali Al Salem base in Kuwait during the 22nd wave of strikes, Iran's IRNA news agency reported.
The IRGC said its forces destroyed an early-warning radar system used by the US military.
It also claimed another strike hit a facility containing aviation equipment and spare parts, as well as a hangar housing US MQ-9 drones, setting several drones on fire.
The IRGC said the attack came in response to repeated US attacks on Iranian territory.
The claims of exact targets could not be independently verified.
Regional tensions have escalated since the US and Israel launched a joint offensive against Iran in February. Tehran retaliated with drone and missile strikes targeting Gulf nations hosting US assets.
The US and Iran signed a Pakistani-mediated memorandum of understanding last month to end their conflict and reach a lasting peace agreement, but tensions escalated again last week over the Strait of Hormuz, with the two sides exchanging attacks.
