Israel postpones security cabinet meeting to Saturday

Instead, a “limited security discussion” will be held on Friday, a reporter for the Israeli newspaper Maariv said on the US social media platform X.

The discussions come amid Israel’s ongoing attacks on Iran and Lebanon.

Israeli media said the Security Cabinet had been expected to receive updated security briefings on the military campaigns.

On Friday, Israeli strikes killed at least four people and injured others across Lebanon, according to Lebanon's National News Agency.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Israel would continue its military operations.

“Together with our American friends, we are continuing to strike the terrorist regime in Iran,” he said in Tel Aviv. “We are eliminating commanders, bombing bridges and striking infrastructure.”

On Thursday, more than 100 US-based international law experts signed an open letter saying US-Israeli strikes on Iran may amount to “war crimes.”
