Israeli airstrikes kill four in Lebanon
Israeli airstrikes in southern Lebanon on Wednesday resulted in at least four fatalities, as reported by the country's civil defense authority.

The strikes targeted the town of Al-Suwayneh, where a woman and her two children perished in their home. Another man lost his life, and nine individuals sustained injuries in a separate raid on the border town of Adchit.
The Israeli military disclosed it had initiated a comprehensive series of airstrikes across Lebanon early that day. This offensive was a response to a rocket attack from southern Lebanon on an Israeli military base in Safad, northern Israel, which killed one person and injured seven.
Tensions have escalated along the Lebanon-Israel border, marked by sporadic exchanges of fire between Israeli forces and Hezbollah. These confrontations are the most severe since the 2006 war between the two entities.
Amidst these border tensions, an Israeli military campaign in the Gaza Strip, triggered by a Hamas attack on October 7, has claimed over 28,500 lives.
