Israel receives over 10,000 claims for missile, drone damage
Israel’s Tax Authority has received 10,314 claims for damages caused by Iranian missiles and drones since Feb. 28, Israeli media reported Thursday.
Tel Aviv recorded 5,300 claims, followed by Ashkelon with 3,900, Jerusalem with 200, and Acre and Tiberias with 970 combined.
Of the claims, 7,250 were for building damage, 1,130 for contents and equipment, and 1,770 for vehicles.
During the past 24 hours, hospitals treated 179 people, and 85 remain hospitalized. The Institute for National Security Studies said 14 Israelis have died since the start of the Israeli-US offensive.
Israel has imposed strict censorship on human and material losses, suggesting the real toll may be higher.
The conflict began with Israeli and US strikes on Iran, which killed hundreds including former Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, prompting Iranian missile and drone retaliations targeting Israel and US interests in the region.
