Turkey triumphs over Germany 3-2 in Berlin
In an electrifying match in Berlin on Saturday, Turkey clinched a sensational 3-2 victory over Germany in a football friendly, marking their first win on German soil since 1951.
The game, held at the Olympiastadion, saw Arsenal's Kai Havertz open the scoring for Germany. However, Turkey quickly regrouped, with Fenerbahçe's Ferdi Kadioglu equalizing after 30 minutes, capitalizing on a long ball from Abdulkerim Bardakci.
Kenan Yildiz, the 18-year-old Juventus forward, then put Turkey ahead, scoring his debut goal and giving the visitors a 2-1 lead by halftime.
The second half began with an immediate response from Germany, as forward Niclas Füllkrug netted the equalizer, assisted by Florian Wirtz. The match's pivotal moment came in the 68th minute when Turkey was awarded a penalty following a handball by Havertz. Yusuf Sari confidently converted the penalty after a VAR confirmation, securing a historic win for Turkey.
